See 10 things you do that make it hard for you to have a smooth face. Take note of number 4

We all want to look good, we all want to have beautiful soft skin especially when it comes to our face because that’s the first place people notice when they look at us. Our faces tell who we are. But sometimes we develop some habits that are not healthy for us. Some of these habits work against our goal instead of helping us. Let us look at some of these things so that we can know how to avoid them.

1. You go to bed with make up on

Your skin need to breathe overnight and make up prevents that. Leaving make-up on overnight will clog skin pores which can lead to blemishes or blackheads. You don’t really need to use a make up remover, just put some olive oil on cotton pad and use it to massage your face to get rid of make up and dirt.

Also, do make sure to exfoliate once or twice in a week. This will help to get rid of dead skin cells and leave your skin healthy and brighter.

2. You don’t eat healthy

Spicy, fermented, salty, citrus fruits and fried foods are not good for your skin. Instead of eating the above mentioned foods, eat fresh fruits, greens, sufficient vitamins and proteins. Also consider low sugar diets. This will help regulate insulin level and allow cells to maintain healthy balance. Always keep note of what you eat.

3. You avoid/run away from exercise

When you exercise regularly, it accelerates the cleansing process of your body. You will notice a glow on your face after working out. Sweat it out. Engage in exercises like running, jogging or even yoga. This will even help with blood circulation round the body.

Running, jogging and yoga will accelerate the cleaning process of your body.

4. Beauty Sleep. You sleep less

Try to sleep at least 8 hours every night. If you don’t get enough shut eye, your skin gets tired just like you – it sags and you get bags. So don’t risk it. You can also apply honey on your face twice or thrice a week to naturally soothe and heal your skin.

Also, always remember to wash and moisturize your face before going to bed.

5. H2O to The Rescue. You don’t drink enough water

Water help to make your skin fresh. Do well to drink enough water every day. At least make sure to take up to 8 glasses daily. Hydrate yourself. Also eat fruits and vegetables high in water content like watermelon, oranges, cucumber and so on.

Drink water from a blue coloured bottle. As funny as this may sound it is said that drinking water from a blue coloured bottle has a cooling effect

Don’t Ignore rose water. It helps prevent and reduce eye puffiness in the morning, maintains pH balance and naturally hydrates your skin if you spritz it on during the day.

6.You pop pimples because you want to get rid of them.

Popping pimples can lead to swelling, redness or even scarring. When you feel a pimples is on the way, just clean the area with rose water and place a green tea bag over it for 10 minutes. Also, if you put on sun glasses or medicated glasses, do well to clean them regularly to avoid oil from clogging the pores around your eyes and nose.

Wash your face with warm water, three times a day, and gently massage your face in circular motions, ensuring that the cleanser contains alpha hydroxyl acid or beta hydroxyl acid. Face packs that contain multani mitti (fuller’s earth) work really well too.

7. Keep healthy Habits

Do Take out time for yourself, and try to avoid stress as much as possible. Have you ever noticed that when you are stressed, you tend to break out more? This is because stress causes your body to produce cortisol and other hormones, making the skin more oily. Practice stress management techniques like breathing exercises, yoga and meditation. The more you meditate, the more you radiate.

Don’t Neglect your jawline and facial muscles. For just 5 minutes a day, perform a few facial exercises. You can jut out your lower lip in such a way that wrinkles are created on the chin, then lower your chin to your chest. Another exercise that works wonders is to look up towards the ceiling and pout. It stretches out the muscles making the skin more firm.

8. You rub your hand on your face

Avoid touching your face with your fingers or leaning your face on objects that collect sebum and skin residue like your phone. Touching your face can spread the bacteria that cause pores to become inflamed and irritated. To keep bacteria at bay, wash your hands before applying anything to your face, such as treatment creams or makeup.

9. You smoke

Nicotine reduces blood flow to your skin, which means it doesn’t get enough oxygen and nutrients. And the chemicals in tobacco damage the collagen and elastin proteins that give your skin structure, says dermatologist Yoon-Soo Cindy Bae, MD, of the Laser and Skin Surgery Center of New York. “A smoker’s skin is thin, dull, more wrinkled, and less able to heal,” she says.

Plus, years of puckering your lips to hold a cigarette or squinting your eyes to keep out smoke may deepen lines and lead to more wrinkles in those areas.

While antioxidants like vitamins A and C can ease some of the damage, the only surefire fix is to quit for good.

10. You expose your skin to sun

Sunshine feels good on your skin, but it also has ultraviolet (UV) rays that are damaging. “UV light leads to both premature aging and skin cancers,” Zeichner says.

And it’s not just beach it’s not just beach days when you need protection. The sun can damage your skin even when it’s cold or cloudy outside.

A broad-spectrum SPF blocks both UVA and UVB rays and keeps you fully protected. Look for a minimum of SPF 30, and if you’re outside, plan to reapply every 2 hours. Be sure you use enough: A full teaspoon is just about right for your face, including your hairline, around your nose, and under your.

So, knowing all of these, you have to take care so you don’t be an himderance to your goal

What Does Your Pee Color Really Mean?

With just one sample, your doctor can…

check for high protein levels, an indication of inflamed kidneys and possibly multiple myeloma (a form of bone marrow cancer); sugar and keotone, signs of uncontrolled diabetes; and even red or white blood cells, which means there is blood in your urine and sign of a possible urinary tract infection or kidney disease.

Yellow is often the color associated with urine, but it isn’t the only shade. Certain medications and your diet can affect the color, but using the colors below will help you decode the message your body is trying to send and whether you need to seek a doctor’s care.

Transparent/No color

You are very well hydrated, maybe even TOO hydrated! There’s nothing wrong with being on your water game this much (you must be taking the Gallon Water Challenge, huh?), but you don’t have to be. It’s okay to cut back a little.

Pale Straw Color/Transparent Yellow

This is a normal, healthy color for your urine and shows you’re getting enough water. Good job!

Dark Yellow

Normal, but you need to start drinking more water SOON.

Amber Or Honey

Your body isn’t getting enough water. Increase your intake immediately.

Brown Ale Or Syrup

This could be a sign of severe dehydration and possibly liver disease. Increase your water intake and…

…see your doctor if this color persists.

Pink To Reddish

Don’t be alarmed just yet! Maybe you’ve eaten beets or blueberries recently, in which case, this tint is normal. However, this color could be a sign of blood in the urine, prostate issues, or Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). Monitor your diet and check with your doctor if the color doesn’t clear up or is accompanied by pain.

Foaming Or Fizzing

Excess protein in your diet could cause this and it’s harmless if you notice it occasionally. If this has become your new normal, see your doctor, as this could be a sign of a kidney problem.

See What Eating of a Fish Head Does to Our Brain and Body

Eating fish is enjoyable particularly when they are fresh and cooked. In spite of the fact that, there are people who will tell you that they prefer eating meat to fish. whichever the case may be, many individuals actually eat fish alot.

I had a friend who will not eat any of his food or feast without fish in it. He so much loved fish that he requested the entirety of his food to be set up with fish rather than meat. I think i learned a little from that, in spite of the fact that the vast majority of my food, I set them up with fish in spite of the fact that I eat meat as well.

I have seen alot of people who go to market and request to buy a fish, then tell the seller or vendor to cut the head of the fish and dispose it. It’s not a surprise because we all do it normally.

The head of fishes contain large amounts of nutritious fats which is contained in the brain of the fish. Truly, fishes have brain as well. It is in this brain we discover those vitamins which are very good for the human body but most times, we end up not eating the head of fishes thinking its a total waste.

Below are the Benefits of Eating a Fish Head:

2. It likewise gives our cerebrum what is called omega 3 which encourages the mind to battle against germs and not simply that but also fight against other sicknesses.

3. It gives our brain iron and calcium. Iron and calcium are useful for the tissues which circles and uphold the brain cells.

4. It likewise supplies the brain with the important supplements expected to fight against ailments or sickness like brain tumor and brain seizures.

We have seen why we shouldn’t dispose of the head of fishes any longer rather, we are supposed to eat it.

This Rice Will Not Give You Diabetes

One of the factors that determine how good your physical health will be are the choices you make when it’s time to eat, and then the level of your physical health is one of the factors that will determine how long you live and how quickly you age.

Today, we will talk about rice, as most Nigerians favour rice.

Many households in Nigeria classify rice into two categories. They refer to one type of rice as local rice, and while there is no particular name for the other, Nigerians generally regard it as the proper or regular rice.

Now, the one Nigerians refer to as local rice(because it is mostly locally sourced)is actually brown rice or unprocessed rice, while the other rice Nigerians regard as proper or regular rice is actually white rice or processed rice.

Processed rice, in short, means that the fiber, which is the guarantee that rice will not be a danger to your health, has been removed!

Fibers, in any food, assure that when you eat such food, your body will be able to absorb the food in a healthy way. Shoveling food lacking in fibers into one’s mouth is like an invitation(God forbid)to deadly diseases, like diabetes and other deadly diseases.

I understand the fact that processed rice is easy to cook as you need not worry about unwanted particles, like stones and others, and I also understand the fact that processed rice is tailor made for Jollof rice(a delicacy Nigerians really love), yet I must tell you that processed rice is actually very bad for your health.
