The Sultan of Sokoto, Dr. Sa’ad Abubakar (III) who doubles as the Chairman, Northern Traditional Rulers Council, has condemned the incessant killing in the Southern part of Kaduna State.

The respected monarch in a statement on Monday, September 7, stated that the gruesome murder of innocent lives in the state has to be stopped, describing the killings as “madness”.

Dr Abubakar urged those perpetrating the evil act in the Southern Kaduna to stop, saying, “enough is enough”. Naija News understands that the monarch stated this while speaking during a Council’s Executive meeting in Kaduna on Monday.

According to him, ‘no man in his right senses go on a killing spree of innocent people under whatever guise.’

The Sultan alleged that some politicians are forces behind the unrests in the southern part of the state, a statement that backed the claims of the chairman, Kaduna State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev. John Joseph Hayab.

Recalls that Hayab in a recent statement alleged that crisis rocking the Southern part of the state is been politicised by some persons.

Speaking further on the need to end the killing of innocent lives in the Southern Kaduna, the Sultan of Sokoto revealed to residents in the state and Nigeria at large that no politicians mean well for them. He added, “lf you keep on igniting killings based on ethnoreligious differences because it is the innocent children that are killed while that of the elites are protected.”
