Zamfara State wing of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commended the election of the Executives of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), saying it was free, fair and acceptable.
This was disclosed by the commission’s representative, Alhaji Anas Tukur while addressing newsmen shortly after the party’s state congress held in Gusau, the state capital.
According to him, the election was conducted perfectly devoid of any harassment or violence, calling on other parties to emulate the PRP, by conducting an acceptable election.
Also speaking, the chairman of the congress planning committee, Alhaji Salisu Sambo said the election was conducted perfectly.
The chairman explained that the officers elected were the chairman in the person of Haruna Adamu Tsafe, vice chairman, Abubakar Isah Moriki, Yakubu Bakura, Secretary, Bello Hussaini Gusau, Assistant secretary and financial secretary, Mujitaba Abdurrahman.
Others were; the organizing secretary, Rufa I Musa, Auditor, Lawali Haruna, Treasure, Surajo Muhammad, Legal adviser, Yusha u Abdurrahman, Women leader, Suwaiba Abubakar, Youth leader, Yusuf Yahaya.
However, Alhaji Mamuda Muhammad who is targeting the governorship candidate of the party congratulated the new executives and prayed Allah to protect and guide them throughout their tenure.
Alhaji Mahmuda assured he would cooperate with the newly elected officers for the success of the party ahead of 2023.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman of the party, Alhaji Haruna Adamu Tsafe, expressed happiness over the election and promised to justify the confidence reposed in them.
He also promised to carry everybody along, thanked all those who attended the election and prayed to Allah for journey mercies back to their respective destinations.
