With no formal education, Ramatu makes N1.4m weekly from her business

A Nigerian business owner, Ramatu who sells Charbin Malam; a local sweet, reported makes N1.4m weekly in sales that is N200,000 in a day, and has close to 70 workers doing the production and packaging.

The purpose of this article is to let us know that local businesses and business owners, are actually making a whole lot of money. For instance, Katsina-based businesswoman, named Ramatu is one of such ladies who is making a lot from her seemingly small business.

According to Ramatu who is a resident of Fadima village in Kastina , she makes N1.4m weekly from producing and selling local sweets popularly known as Charbin Malam in the Hausa community.

Funny enough, she has no formal education and yet considered the most industrious and the largest creator of human labor in her local community.

The details was shared by an Instagram page identified as Almajira Aspire Initiative. According to her, Ramatu house is packed on the daily with over 70 workers including processing and packaging Charbin Malam. She said Ramatu also revealed to them that she makes N200,000 on a daily basis.

“In an interview with Cliqq Magazine, she stated that she buys 13 bags of sugar daily at the cost of N13,500 for each bag. This means that Ramatu buys over 91 bags of sugar every week to run her business while she makes a profit of N1.4 million weekly from sales of local sweet (Charbin mallam) that is now being sold across the 34 local government areas in Katsina state and beyond.”
